Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize consumer research, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to develop intuitive, user-focused designs for Mercury Financial’s mobile app and website.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and product improvements.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure design alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Develop detailed user flows and journey maps to visualize the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency of the user experience across mobile, web, and other digital platforms.
  • Design secure UX patterns for sensitive interactions, such as login, payments, and account management, to build customer trust.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are optimized for speed and performance on both mobile and web platforms.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
  • Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
  • Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
  • Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
  • Experience designing responsive web or native mobile applications
  • Experience with a variety of design tools such as Sketch and Figma
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in working within Design Language System (DLS), creating and managing reusable components and design patterns
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and interaction design
  • Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features with a user-centered design process
  • Master's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or related field
