  • This position will be working in our new facility at Mount Carmel Dublin working on a casual basis; three 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule one of them being a weekend shift as well as one Spring / Summer holiday and one Fall / Winter holiday.

Mount Carmel Dublin will be an innovative medical ambulatory campus directly tailored to the needs of the Dublin community and surrounding suburbs. Services provided :

  • 24-bay emergency department
  • 60 acute inpatient beds
  • 4 operating rooms
  • Level 1 cardiac capability
  • Advanced imaging, and other outpatient testing
  • Attached MOB

The attached medical office building will provide a community education space in addition to clinic space for :

  • Primary Care
  • Neurology
  • Cardiology
  • Vascular
  • Other independent specialists

Mount Carmel plans to extend its community health and well-being programs into the Dublin community as well.

This position will be hired to staff Mount Carmel Dublin. While construction is underway, the majority of training will take place at Mount Carmel St.

Ann’s located at 500 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081. We are expecting Mount Carmel Dublin to open Spring of 2025.

About the Department :

Mount Carmel Dublin's Emergency Department will operate in 24 beds with a mixture of adult and pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions.

The ED will provide access to patients in one of the fastest growing regions in the state of Ohio. We envision a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on exceptional patient experience while delivering evidence-based care.

About the job :

The Licensed Practical Nurse - with Meds (LPN) , within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.

Functioning in the spirit of teamwork, under the director of a Registered Nurse, is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

What you will do :

Exhibits each of the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards holding self and others accountable and role modeling excellence for all to see.

Demonstrates friendliness and courtesy as effective communication creates a professional environment and provides first class service.

Performs treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. Verifies and implements physician / other licensed independent practitioner's orders.

Administers medications, according to the organization's standards, policies, procedures and / or guidelines. Initiates appropriate emergency procedures within the scope of practice under the direction of the RN / physician.

  • Practices proper patient identification procedures. Maintains equipment appropriate to the care environment.
  • Provides pertinent clinical information to appropriate members of the patient care team. Keeps patient / family appraised / updated.
  • Document accurately and completely pertinent information / data in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and / or guidelines.

What we are looking for :

  • Graduate of School of Practical Nursing
  • Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of an LPN IV therapy course with proof of certification through one of the following : LPN Curriculum (i.

e., part of Ohio's required curriculum), National Certification (i.e., NAPNES) or through IV training course that includes pharmacology at a hospital.

  • Current BLS / CPR
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred
