Unit accepts first-time travelers License : GA or Compact license required Certifications : BCLS Must-Have : EPIC & SBAR experience Job Description : Work within a Neuro Medical Surgical unit for adults to geriatrics, handling ortho / trauma / overflow cases.
Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 5-6.- Required to work 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.- Expectation to work during holidays based on assignment duration;
if one major holiday falls in the assignment period, must work it; if two holidays, must work both; if three holidays, expected to work two.
- Major Holidays include : - New Year's Eve and Day - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day - Thanksgiving / Black Friday - Christmas Eve and Day- Willingness to float within the facility and to sister campuses if needed.
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance results in a 2-week start delay due to bi-weekly orientation.
- Orientation consists of 13 hours, non-billable.- Open to local candidates with the same base rate. Additional Information : Arrival and successful onboarding within 48 hours of signing the contract are crucial for an on-time start.
- Must be away for 1 full year from the facility to return as a traveler.
