Job Title : Director of Evaluation Services

Type : Full-time

Location : Chicago (Loop) onsite with hybrid schedule possible

Salary : $68,000 - $80,000

Start Date : August 1, 2024, or until filled

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the Certification and Evaluation Units
  • Development and maintenance of evaluation policies and methodology
  • Maintaining a high-quality standard for all evaluation and evaluation-related work products
  • Communication with customers and clients via email, telephone, or in-person with regard to evaluation services, public services inquiries and follow-up
  • Communication with representatives of HEIs, ministries of education, and various other educational organizations and authorities
  • Monitor the productivity and efficiency of staff and process workflows
  • Credential evaluation and evaluation report preparation

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of a US Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent is a requirement
  • 10+ years’ experience working as an international credential evaluator at a NACES-member agency, or in an undergraduate, graduate, or transfer admissions office at a regionally accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, acute attention to detail, excellent research skills, personal energy, and enthusiasm
  • Interest in international education, and the ability to interact effectively and patiently with individuals who are not native speakers of English
  • A keen interest in training others in credential evaluation
  • Flexibility to adjust to dynamic workflows

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role
  • Experience evaluating educational credentials in a non-US education context
  • Master’s degree in Arts, Education, Science, or Fine Arts field

Physical Demands

  • May require travel, estimated less than 10% seasonally
  • Ability to work for extended and continued periods at a workstation
  • May be required to work beyond office hours

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range is $68,000-$80,000 per annum, salary commensurate with previous credential evaluation, supervisory, and / or university admissions experience
  • Comprehensive and generous benefit package
  • A relocation stipend will be considered for candidates who reside outside of reasonable commuting distance from Chicago
  • Hybrid work schedule will be considered after initial orientation
