We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy truck maintenance and repair, with a focus on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.Responsibilities : Perform routine maintenance on heavy trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy trucks.Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues.Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.

Requirements : Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Mechanic or similar role.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

Welding experienceStrong knowledge of heavy truck systems and components.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Possess a valid and clear driver's license, CDL a plusReliable transportation to and from workBe in good physical conditionAbility and willingness to travel overnight to an outlying area, and will work at the Phoenix shop when not traveling.

Can work in a high-pressure environment and maintain a professional and positive attitude.Able to work under time restraints and understand the urgency to place equipment back in productionAbility and willingness to work nights and overtime when neededRequired tools to perform the job efficiently and with little to no supervisionAmes Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
