SUMMARY :
As our Director of Program Management, you will be responsible for leading the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements.
We are looking for a self-starter with a strong understanding of both defense contracting and process electronic contract manufacturing.
MUST HAVES :
- Director level experience in Government Contracting / Aerospace & Defense
- Contracting Manufacturing (Cable and Harness or Box Build, Chassis Build side)
TEAM LAYOUT :
Directly oversee X3 Program Managers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Forecasting : Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual for bookings, revenue, and profits. The manager of this department is responsible for assuring that each program manager’s forecasts are reviewed monthly for accuracy prior to presenting them to the finance department.
- Provide resource forecasting, level loading of programs, and training opportunities for PMO personnel and keep all processes, policies, metrics, and reporting systems up to date.
- Works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of programs.
- Oversee effective management of personnel, performance, schedules, and contract deliverables.
- Ensures that all internal and external project / department milestones / goals are met.
- Provide job opportunity evaluation and bid strategy input as well as technical input for proposals.
- Serve as principal point of contact with current customers to identify new business opportunities; develop strategies to win new business, and manage new work
- As an active PM, you will be expected to manage programs personally while managing the department.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of management experience
- Minimum 5 years experience managing a program office.
- Minimum 3 years working in a government contracting program management capacity either directly or to tier 1 and 2 defense contracting companies (as customers)
