Position Overview :
Recess Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the lives of children through comprehensive occupational therapy services.
Experience working with feeding is preferred but not required. and nbsp;
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and specific needs of each child under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services including interventions to enhance motor skills sensory processing selfcare skills and feeding abilities.
- Collaborate with families caregivers and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
- Monitor and document progress towards therapy goals adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support the childs development at home.
- Participate in team meetings case conferences and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications :
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of California.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical or educational setting.
- Knowledge of sensory integration motor development and other relevant pediatric therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children families and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Experience working with feeding and swallowing disorders is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
