About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Labor and Delivery Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License : OR license required or submission with license pending Certifications : NRP, BLS Must-Have : EPIC Charting Experience Job Description : The nurse will float between units as necessary.
- On-call duty is required, with a low census call system in place.- Weekend shifts are required; at least every other weekend.
- Expected nurse-to-patient ratios : 1 : 3 postpartum, 1 : 1 labor.- Locals accepted with reduced compensation.- Orientation includes 40 hours, non-billable.
- Modules, averaging 16 non-billable hours, must be completed pre-start and annually. Completion is self-reported.- Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby.
Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.- Communication devices needed for performing duties will be supplied if required.
- Must commit to working three out of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- The position is located within a Short Term Acute Care / Level IV Trauma Center with a total of 60 staffed beds.- Scrub color and attire : any color for nurses;
CNAs and MLTs can wear any color or business casual.
