Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision and teamwork? As a Molding Set-Up Technician , you'll play a key role in setting up, operating, and fine-tuning injection and compression molding machines . In this dynamic position, you'll work closely with the shift supervisor to ensure smooth operations and efficient production throughout the department. You'll also help train and mentor team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.

What you will get to do :

  • Set up and operate injection and compression molding machines and associated equipment.
  • Perform machine adjustments and implement process improvements to enhance part quality and ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Assist with shift transition by communicating with the 1st Shift Set-Up Technician.
  • Shrink wrap, tape, and weigh boxes and materials as needed.
  • Sample material and try out molds and dies.
  • Train other set-up techs, assistants, and operators.
  • Monitor productivity by tracking downtime and cycle rates.
  • Create schedules, machine utilization plans, process documents, and set-up procedures.
  • Make data entries including bar coding, moving material, shipping, and receiving.
  • Load and unload trucks and properly locate raw materials.
  • Work closely with support departments to address maintenance or tooling concerns.
  • Make suggestions for departmental processes or improvements.
  • Organize molding storage areas, cabinets, and documentation in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • What you'll bring to the role :

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in injection molding or compression molding preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A reliable record of attendance and punctuality
  • Initiative, motivation and able to multi-task with minimal direction
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a strong sense of determination
