Position : Substation Engineer
Openings : 1
Location : Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid working 3 days in office)
Duration : 6 mos Contract to Hire or Direct Hire open based on candidate
Pay rate : $70K-125K all based on experience and level of substation knowledge
Interview Process : 1 virtual interview, technical assessment, and then a final onsite interview
Required Education / Experience
- BS, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 3-15 years of experience as an Engineer working specific to utility substations
- Desire to grow into a leadership role
- Strong experience with 15kV to 345kV physical and electrical substations
- Strong understanding of IEEE standards

Insight Global is currently seeking a Substation Engineer with experience in substation physical design to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Madison, Wisconsin office.
This is an in-office position but flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment. This is a brand-new team that the Substation Engineer will be responsible for partnering with a small team to grow the Madison, WI office and starting up a new group.
- Perform QA / QC for substation project deliverables to clients across multiple offices.
- Ensure quality procedures are followed and that the team is resourced in an optimal manner.
- Mentor less experienced staff in substation project execution.
