Position : Flight Paramedic
Dept : CareFlight Air & Mobile Services
Shift : Full Time 7pm - 7 : 30am / 72 Hours per Pay
Facility : Miami Valley Hospital
The Flight Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency / critical are in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport.
The Flight Paramedic utilizesevidence-based principles to provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher-level medical treatment facility.
The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency / critical care during medical transport and may also provide care within their scope of practice throughout Premier Health.
This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.
Education : High School completion / GED.
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Paramedic in the State of Ohio
The following certifications are required at the time of hire :
BLS, ACLS and PALS
The following certifications are required within the specified timeframe following hire :
90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS
1 Year NRP, ATLS (audit)
2 Years CAMTS approved professional certification
Experience : Minimum 3 - 5 years of Paramedic experience with transport experience required. Preferred to have recent full-time active experience with 911 Emergency Service Agency or MICU Transport Company
