In-Home Respite Worker

The In-Home Respite Worker assists family members in maintaining the consumer at home. This includes relieving family members from basic self-help needs and other activities of daily living, including interaction, socialization, and continuation of daily routines that family members would ordinarily perform and / or facilitate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Maintains confidentiality of all clients
• Performs duties and procedures, as assigned / directed, in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client / patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures, including, but not limited to Universal Precautions
• Notifies the Company office of any abnormal findings or conditions
• Adheres to standards and procedures of the Company's In-Home Respite Services
• Arrives at the client's home on time, and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Represents Companion Services with a positive image at all times
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when meeting needs
• Performs other duties as assigned / necessary
