The Manager, Consumer Analytics and Data Science leads a talented team of analysts and data scientists that provide the predictive knowledge quantitative insight that drives Covetrus’ consumer-facing marketing and product experience efforts.

You, and your team, will help drive the strategic plan that improves new consumer acquisition, improves consumer retention, influences product and brand preference, and improve the experience of our consumer-facing products.

You and your team will develop analytical frameworks that deepen the collective understanding of customers and pet parents, influence innovation, and deliver insights that are timely, accurate and actionable.

You will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement as the team breaks new ground and improves insight into what drives consumer behavior, loyalty, and product preferences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enable effective quantitative decision-marketing for the prescription management commercials teams by aggregating data from multiple sources (including PIMS), developing predictive frameworks, and compiling findings into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity that will help shape the consumer experience, driving consumer adoption, increasing consumer loyalty, influencing brand preference, and engagement.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer behavior, competitive trends, and business drivers to inform decision making.
  • Analyze key insight trends and build models that predict consumer behavior, using statistical rigor to simplify and provide thought leadership.
  • Develop various testing frameworks, monitor results, and propose recommendations based on results.
  • Work with various team members to scope and define forecast methodologies and analyses for many aspects of the prescription management business.
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis
  • Partner with various teams supporting the prescription management business to design, develop, and maintain forecasts, reports, analyses, dashboards on key drivers for the business
  • Collaborate across the organization to solve critical business challenges and establish strategy

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team of 2 5 analysts and data scientists of various levels of experience.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, math, statistics or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in data modeling / advanced business analytics.
  • 2+ years’ management experience in a fast-moving consumer-facing business.

COMPETENCIES (Skills and Abilities)

  • Strong proven expertise in predictive modeling / statistics / econometrics. Ability to teach and coach others into this area of deep expertise
  • Demonstrated experience delivering actionable predictive insight for a consumer business that produces outsized commercial results.
  • Understanding of online marketing ecosystem, marketing channels (e.g. direct, social media, display, affiliate, e-mail, SEM, SEO), customer segmentation and database marketing methods.
  • Strong understanding of how pricing, promotion, brand impressions influence consumer loyalty, brand preference, and lifetime value.

Ability to synthesize insights and help commercial teams drive these into action in our various consumer marketing activities.

  • Independently identify and set priorities in rapidly changing / evolving business and technology environments.
  • Learn new technologies, processes, and tools.
  • Advanced SQL writing skills required with a general knowledge of ETL.
  • Ability to work with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Experience in designing and building data infrastructure / automated reporting tools.
  • Experience in advanced business / customer predictive analytics.
  • Experience conveying key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use customer research, hard data and metrics to assess marketing effectiveness.
  • Proven experience with Excel and working with databases.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop a team of talented and driven analysts.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$67,100.00 - $124,500.00
