Description
The Overnight Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for checking on patients throughout the night, interact with patients who are awake, assist with intakes and documentation, observe patients taking medications, clean, complete temperature logs, chart audits and prepare breakfast.
The Behavioral Health Specialist will provide client supervision and care as part of the treatment team. The BHS will supervise and facilitate daily milieu of programs / services as assigned, such as assisting with activities of daily living skills, mealtime, personal hygiene, educational and community / recovery groups, and activity therapy.
Read and implement a client’s treatment plan. Provide clients with positive cues, redirection and reinforcement.
HIRING BONUS : $500(gross) - $250 to be paid as soon as administratively feasible after approximately 30 calendar days of successful employment (which must include completion of New Employee Orientation) and $250 to be paid after approximately 90 days.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION ($
High school diploma or GED, no experience necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ($
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, no experience necessary or
- Associate’s degree plus one (1) year behavioral health work experience or
- High School Diploma or GED plus Peer Support Specialist certification plus two (2) years of behavioral health work experience or
- High School Diploma or GED plus Medical Assistant certification plus two (2) years of behavioral health work experience or
- High School Diploma or GED plus three (3) years of behavioral health work experience.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Must have a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must be 21 years of age (insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
