About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Four 10-hour shifts

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum two years current experience required in Cardiothoracic surgery.

License : State nursing license or Compact State Nursing License required.

Certifications : BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred.

Must-Have :

Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Must be able to scrub.

Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.

Description :

The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care.

This includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs.

Coordination of patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team is essential.

The nurse will administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy.

Identification and addressing of patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout care is required.

Clinical supervision of LPNs and other non-licensed assistive personnel will be part of the role.

Completion of patient population and procedure-specific education and competency testing is expected.

Minimal congenital pediatrics may be required.

Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.

Weekends, on-call, and holidays may be required per staff rotation.

Travelers are expected to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a set distance.

Experience in Neuro, Ortho, Transplants, Robotics, or Vascular is preferred.

EPIC experience is preferred but will be trained on-site.
