Pay & Benefits :

  • Starting at $24.00 / hour

As an AlphaBEST Captain , you'll be trained to do the following :

  • Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
  • Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
  • Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and staff

    • Required qualifications :

  • 21+ and a bachelor's degree or associates degree in a child-related field such as elementary education, child psychology or recreation management from a college or university is preferred.
  • Flexible and demonstrates a passion to work with children in a learning environment
  • Provides a supportive and caring environment for children
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff, and other management
  • Ability to successfully pass and maintain criminal history background checks and Child Protective Services Registry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-organized, thorough, and highly reliable / dependable
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain a high-level of professionalism and personal work ethics / integrity at all times
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Direct instructional experience in a licensed childcare program, an elementary public or charter school, Department of Health licensed camp or an approved private educational organizational system.
