Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Canton, OH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities, contributing to our mission of sustainability and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy mobile equipment, including but not limited to material handlers, excavators, front end loaders, and forklifts.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal facility operations.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training junior staff on maintenance procedures.
  • Support various projects related to facility improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role.
  • Good diesel diagnostics skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in electrical systems.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
