As a Grain Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's Grain Merchandising efforts. Building upon your experience and proven track record in grain origination or merchandising, you will be responsible for strategic decision-making and managing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of relationships with producers and in your territory, leveraging your expertise to foster long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships
- Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers at a high level, providing advanced marketing insights and solutions that align with business objectives
- Spearhead customer recruitment initiatives within the trade territory, strategically expanding market share and solidifying the company’s position regionally
- Oversee the execution of producer contracts for both delivered and FOB purchases, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction
- Lead and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the company's grain hedging and risk management processes, actively managing the company’s risk positions

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business or related fieldExperience in an Origination or Merchandising roleIn-depth working knowledge of grain movements, basis patterns, pricing, supply & demand, and risk management strategies
