Restaurant Bartender Job Summary :
This position is for the "Rotunda Bar," which is the cocktail bar and service bar for two of our dining rooms. In addition to wine and beer, you will make cocktails ranging from classic cocktails to specialty craft cocktails.
The Rotunda Bar also boasts over 200 whiskeys and bourbons, including many rare and lottery bottles. The bar can also seat a generous number of people.
It also hosts happy hour four days a week and some special events. It is one of our more formal bars
It is everyone’s job at Westwood to serve our members and their guests, but specifically, it is the Rotunda bartender’s job to tend the Rotunda bar, making drinks for servers and directly serving members sitting at the bar. You will...
- Pour drinks and make cocktails for servers throughout the dining rooms while tending to members at the bar
- Take food and drink orders for bar patrons
- Use a jigger or other measurement tool when pouring whiskeys / bourbons and while making craft cocktails
- Maintain a clean and organized bar
- Do what is necessary to maintain the bar : wash and polish glasses, prepare ingredients (make syrups, cut fruit, etc.), and stock and restock inventory
- Embody service and hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for patrons
- Understand the Westwood standards and work towards serving the member experience

Requirements :
Qualifications & Job Requirements :
- Bartending experience, especially at a joint service / seated bar
- Can communicate effectively, describing both drinks and food items
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, cleanliness, and neatness
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Can remain standing for several hours straight and easily carry about 20 pounds
- Whiskey / bourbon expertise (Preferred)
- High school graduate or equivalent (Preferred)
