The Associate Director of Data Governance & Analytics Success will be a key leader in executing BCBSMA's data & analytics strategy of becoming a data driven organization.
For BCBSMA to be successful in its strategy and mission, it is extremely important to ensure data across the organization is of the highest quality and trustable, and analytic teams can rely on the data for decision making and insights generation.
In this role, you will develop and execute Enterprise Data Governance strategy. You will also lead the analytics success team to drive adoption of technology and data products for analytics, reporting, and AI / ML use cases.
This highly visible position will require exceptional leadership skills, strong collaborative attitude, effective strategy development, and deep technical acumen.
This role is eligible for our Flex persona.
Your Day to Day :
- Lead cross-divisional committee and stakeholder forums to orchestrate and communicate data governance functions.
- Implement technology solutions to enable robust data lifecycle management, improve data quality and standards, and self-service analytics.
- Manage enterprise MDM solutions as primary business owner in collaboration with data stewards.
- Closely collaborate with risk, legal, security, compliance, audit, and operations teams for data sharing, data security, and audit controls.
- Develop and evolve the data catalog & business glossary for all data & analytics domains across the organization in partnership with data product owners and data stewards.
- Integrate data governance as part of business planning, portfolio execution, and analytics operations for consistency, reusability, and appropriate use of data products.
- Define and socialize strategic roadmap, policies, and collaborative practices in close partnership with cross-divisional stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver trainings and analytics success programs to enhance data literacy, tool competencies, governance, and promote a data-driven culture.
- Capture and promote awareness of data's value across the organization.
- Develop & deliver analytics success programs to enable governed self-service analytics across the organization for business to put data to use quickly, reliably, and safely.
- Partner with peers, business leaders, and analytics users across the organization to uncover, understand, and integrate evolving needs of data governance.
We're Looking for :
- Deep knowledge of healthcare data domains including (but not limited to) enrollment, account, claims, providers, products, digital, clinical, financial, and wellness data.
- Excellent understanding and leadership experience in data management, data governance frameworks, and best practices in data design and architecture including working knowledge of data cataloging platforms like Informatica, Collibra.
- Experience with cloud-based technology stack for data and analytics platforms covering data visualization, data engineering, and data storage / access.
- Strong understanding of the concepts and process of designing and leading education and training programs for a wide array of data user personas.
- Proven people management experience with managing a mix of contractors and FTEs reporting members in the team.
- Collaborates with peers, leaders, and business stakeholders for making analytics users successful in their goals.
- Adopts and helps others to adopt changing needs of the organization in the data & analytics landscape.
- Establish, track, and socialize KPIs and outcomes reflecting data usage, value of data products, and analytics enablement across the organization.
What You Bring :
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in data, analytics and data science, business intelligence, data governance, or related roles.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare.
- 5+ years of experience in leadership and people management.

Salary Range : $157,320.00 - $192,280.00
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
