What We Need

The NBA 2K Global Integrated Marketing Team is looking for an Associate Manager, Social Media to grow the NBA 2K global social channels through social content ideation, creation and execution.

This position will support the larger Integrated Marketing team in developing the overarching global social media strategy for NBA 2K, relating to day-to-day content, brand campaigns, culture and community engagement.

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Global Social Media Marketing, you will help create and publish social content for channel-specific strategies for our major social platforms.

This position can be based in Los Angeles, CA (or Novato, CA : hybrid, 3 days a week in our Novato HQ)

What You Will Do

  • Support the day-to-day processes of Global Social Media execution, including 360 planning / briefing, scheduling, and execution, while managing cross-functional workflows such as creative development with respective teams to ensure the strategy is applied across our worldwide channels.
  • Support daily content publishing for NBA 2K and NBA 2K MyTEAM social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat & YouTube, while overseeing the timeline and approvals for all content creation.
  • Support the planning and execution of content capture at live events / activations, with support from cross-functional teams.
  • Identify industry best practices and innovations (creative approaches and new formats & technologies) with an ability to translate them to actionable learnings and opportunities.
  • Act as the conduit between internal and external partner social teams (including Athletes, NBA, NBA Teams, WNBA and NBA 2K League).
  • Utilize social listening / sentiment tools to recommend enhancements to the social community management strategy and the overall social landscape.
  • Report on social campaign performance and share learnings with stakeholders.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • 3-5 years of relevant social, content or digital marketing experience.
  • Expert knowledge of all social media platforms and channel strategy, including Instagram / Reels, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Reddit and Snapchat.
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of the NBA, NBA 2K MyTEAM, and gaming space while being tapped into sports, lifestyle, fashion, and music culture.
  • You are creatively driven with the ability to tell engaging stories through social content.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, a high level of emotional IQ, strong NBA, interactive gaming, and / or lifestyle marketing and social knowledge.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and KPI reporting tools (Sprinklr, Meltwater, Tubular) are a plus.
  • The ability to continually evolve, drive, and maintain processes needed to ensure that the Global Marketing team continues to drive innovative content on our social channels, while supporting our creative NBA 2K brand campaigns.
  • This candidate will also have experience in project management and display the ability to work with diverse cross-functional disciplines.
  • High attention to detail, ability to take direction, and keeping teams organized, motivated to do their best work, and well informed to hit deadlines will be critical in this role.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $70,000 and $105,000 per Year.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
