Job Summary : Support emissions testing plans in the development and manufacturing of world-class rail products and services vital to our customers’ needs through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities. Work involves increasing levels of independent judgement, decision-making, and creativity.

Job Duties :

• Conduct 40 CFR Part 1065 compliant exhaust emissions analysis on EMD engines and locomotives
• Formulate Part 1065 compliant reports
• Maintain exhaust emission test facilities including emission analyzers and associated test equipment and supplies
• Prepare test reports on exhaust emission results obtained on EMD engines and locomotives
• Maintain required documentation records for equipment calibration, maintenance, and test data
• Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art in research field
• Develop and maintain contacts with divisional, staff, and professional community
• Provide manufacturing, engineering, and field technical support
