Background in product validation, structural design, and mechanical testing desirable. Familiarity with CAD design tools and engineering analysis software. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Independent thinker with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities. Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds during the workday. Work performed in both office and manufacturing environments.

The Product Design Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, and development of fiber-reinforced composite products to meet customer and market needs. This role involves defining product requirements, developing innovative design solutions, and collaborating across departments to ensure product performance, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction. The engineer will support ongoing product development initiatives, provide technical expertise to both internal teams and external customers, and drive continuous improvement in design and production processes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and document product requirements with clarity and precision.
- Review customer applications and provide design recommendations tailored to performance and cost needs.
- Meet with customers to present technical details of composite products.
- Provide engineering support to customers, sales teams, and manufacturing operations.
- Identify new markets and applications for composite products and contribute to growth initiatives.
- Recognize product and technology gaps and propose innovative solutions.
- Analyze, design, and validate material and product solutions through modeling, prototyping, and testing.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve product manufacturability and efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform all additional duties as assigned.
