We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of innovative plastic components for our luxury electric vehicle platform.
This role requires a deep understanding of plastics engineering, material science, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities :
Lead the design, development, and validation of plastic components for front and rear exterior applications, including bumpers, fascias, and other trim elements.
Conduct material selection, feasibility studies, and concept generation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Perform structural and durability testing to ensure component performance and reliability.
Optimize plastic components for weight, cost, and manufacturability while maintaining high-quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in plastics engineering.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on plastics component development.
Strong proficiency in 3D CAD skills, with CATIA V5 / V6 or similar software (desired to do it) .
In-depth knowledge of plastics materials, properties, and processing techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
