Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring MA RN license eligibility, strong L&D skills, and weekend / holiday availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (18 : 45–07 : 15), 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Must be able to circulate C-sections
  • Patient care involves labor, delivery, and immediate postnatal support
  • Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience required
  • Responsible for labor and delivery patient management including circulating for C-sections
  • L&D RNs must complete orientation modules and pre-start education assignments in Workday
  • Third-party education verification is required for all travelers
  • Modules must be completed before and during orientation, as well as annually
  • Local candidates accepted without a radius restriction
  • Must cover assigned holidays as scheduled

  • Current MA RN license required or ability to obtain promptly upon offer
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Intermediate or higher level completion of AWHONN course required
  • 2+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience; 3 years strongly preferred
  • Travel nursing experience preferred if under 3 years' total experience
  • Experience circulating C-sections required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Passing a pass / fail Tele exam in orientation (three attempts allowed for L&D RNs)
  • Able to provide two supervisory references, including one Nurse Manager or higher
