Materials Coordinator/Buyer Surgery Full-Time MMH

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Business Office Manager leads the sourcing of commodities, equipment and services including but not limited to : investigating alternatives, reviewing cost effectiveness, tracking recalls and negotiating with vendors by receiving credentials for profile setup for vendors to be paid for all 5 Surgical Services department.

Works closely with Senior Mgmt., Corporate Legal, and Surgery leaders on sourcing initiatives. Reviews the terms and conditions for the facilities to ensure terms and pricing are favorable and in compliance with corporate guidelines.

Responsible for the financial and business activities in the Surgical Services department including but not limited to vendor negotiations, supply management.

Works collaboratively with the Surgical Services staff to maintain daily operations of the department. Responsible for the accurate and timely computer entry for the surgery department, to include ENDO, PACU, SDS, Pretesting, Endo and responsible.

Responsible and accountable for duties which include assembly and organization of daily surgical schedule, proficient in order entry, inputting patient charges for Pretest, PACU,ENDO and Surgery, competent use of computer, fax and multi-line phones.

Responsible for New Vendors and Consignment Contracts and agreements. Verify and work within Premier software confirming products and Vendors.

Responsible for purchase orders, bill only, bill and replace consigned items, repairs and returns, take care of any discrepancies.

Verifies contract vendors and obtain information and add vendors. Charge of all CAP Contracts. Responsible for maintaining hold's list and add and removal / send list.

Responsible for Data Warehouse reports, implant log, TAVRS, TCARS, Waste & reduction / expired logs. Responsible for Inventory and Inventory templates for all surgical services.

Knowledge of software for Cerner, Citrex Storefront, Meperia, Premier, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Microsoft Word. Item manager Purchasing Template requisitions.

Demonstrates service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associates degree preferred

Advanced knowledge of multiple OR / Vendor software system.

HSD or equivalent - 3-5 years Surgical Services experience

Proficient in Medical / Surgical Terminology

Demonstrates proficiency in excel Microsoft work, OR EMR and multiple systems software Computer skills,
