Salary : $20.00 to $30.00 / hour; $41,600 to $62,400 a year. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, skills, knowledge, and education.

Position Summary :
The Personal Banker serves as the face of the bank and is pivotal in maintaining the bank’s reputation, being responsible for delivering efficient and accurate customer service when performing various financial transactions.
The role is centered around handling customer interactions with utmost precision, including but not limited to cashing checks, accepting deposits, and processing withdrawals, all while ensuring a high level of confidentiality and compliance with bank policies and federal regulations.
Personal Banker also plays a crucial role in driving branch sales through cross-selling and referrals, contributing to the overall growth and customer satisfaction of the bank.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Duties not limited to those provided here) :
- Transaction Handling :
- Accurately process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verifying signatures and customer balances.
- Maintain an accurate balance of cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies in accordance with bank procedures.
- Customer Service and Sales :
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and addressing issues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable bank products and services, contributing to branch sales goals through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Foster and maintain positive customer relationships by providing information and assistance regarding bank services, products, and promotions.
- Conduct outbound calling to existing and former bank customers to further promote bank products and services.
- Referrals and Lead Generation :
- Identify opportunities to refer customers to appropriate bank specialists, maximizing customer engagement and branch profitability.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all bank products and services to effectively cross-sell and make appropriate referrals.
- Compliance and Risk Management :
- Strictly adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and federal and local regulations to prevent fraud and manage risk.
- Continually update knowledge on bank offerings, policies, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
- Administrative Duties :
- Contribute to the cleanliness and overall appearance of the branch through various housekeeping tasks.
- Must occasionally lift or move items up to twenty-five pounds.
- Be able to commute and support other branches during staff vacation and shortages.
- Comply with and adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Head.
Qualifications :
- College degree or equivalent. Further education in business or a related field is advantageous.
- Bilingual skills desirable.
- Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, sales, or a related role is preferred.
- Skills :
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with basic computer applications and the ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Working Conditions :
- May require occasional extended hours to meet operational and sales needs.
- Standard office environment with occasional travel as needed.
