Assistant swim coach
Dedham Health HYDRA Swim Team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Swim Coach to join our growing program. We have a proud history of competing at the Senior Championship and Age Group levels, and we are looking for a motivated individual to help us continue this tradition of excellence.
Compensation : Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and coach the novice and developmental training groups
- Work collaboratively with coaches and team staff to develop and implement training plans
- Utilize Team Unify and Hytek software applications for team management and meet entries
- Provide a positive and encouraging environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels
- Perform administrative duties (4-10 hours per week) including parent communication, swimmer metrics, and contribution to the team's developing social media presence.
Other administrative duties to be assigned.
- Participate and engage in program season and future planning exercises.
- There is also the opportunity for additional hours through swim lessons and clinics.
- We are looking for a coach who is continually striving to gain more knowledge, be curious, and share this knowledge with the swimmers and fellow staff members.
Qualifications :
- Current USA Swimming Coach Certification
- All required certifications as per USA Swimming and New England Swimming LSC, including :
- Athlete Protection Training
- Background Check
- Foundations of Coaching 101 and 201
- Rules and Regulations for Coaches
- Concussion Protocol Training
- Proven experience as a USA-S coach
- Proficiency in Team Unify and Hytek software applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with children of all ages
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and competitive swimming environment
