Shuttle Bus Driver

Operates shuttle bus and / or passenger coach-type vehicles. Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.

Qualifications :

• Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and / or Dispatcher.
• Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while en route to / from destinations.
• Follow established routes and departure times.
• Communicates with dispatch for guidance on any detours / delays.
• Operates vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Maintains an accurate log documenting the number of passengers, trips completed, mileage, interior / exterior vehicle inspection, and other information that might be requested.
• Ensures adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
• Assists passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance to board and disembark from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift.
• Reports any emergencies / concerns with vehicle and / or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and / or Dispatcher.

Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes.

Licenses and Credentials : MGH Security RMV Check / Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required Commercial Drivers License [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicles required.

Experience : Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver 1-2 years required.
