Job Details
- Cath Lab RN position.
- Responsible for moderate sedation, charting, circulating, and working in pre and post areas.
Job Requirements
- Must have experience mixing medications and be comfortable with it.
- Teamwork and a strong willingness to help are essential.
- Experience with EPIC & Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR / FFR, IVUS, and Rotapro.
Schedule Information
- Work 2x10hr shifts & 2x8hr shifts; sometimes 3x8s & 1x12hr shift.
- Shifts are from 0700-1530 & 0600-1630.
- On call 1-2 days per week; every third weekend on call (from Friday to Monday morning); every other holiday.
- 20 minute call response required.
Unit Specific Information
- Number of suites / labs : 3 labs.
- Cases per day on average : 4 per day.
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients include Emergent Revascularization, LHC, RHC, ATK Peripheral Diagnostic / Interventional, Cardioversion, TEE, Devices, Pericardiocentesis, Temporary Pacemaker.
- Call requirements : 1-2 days per week and every third weekend.
- Cath Lab Techs are Rad Techs.
- Charge Nurse / Team Lead responsibilities : run the day, assist with labs, and handle time cards.
- A manager or Charge Nurse is present on each shift.
- Float requirement : Heart and Vascular Pre / Post.
Additional Details
- ACLS, BLS certifications are necessary.
- Radiation Badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start.
- 2 days of unit / department specific orientation.
- Lead will be provided, bring your own lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes.
- Radius Rule : 50 miles
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
