What You Will Do :
Join a high-performing team supporting the U.S. Air Force acquisition programs. This position is for an Acquisition Logistics Senior Consultant for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
Duties include applying knowledge and experience in Life Cycle Logistics, policies, and procedures to Air Force weapon systems, subsystems, acquisition programs, and product support strategies throughout their life cycles.
Acquisition Logistics responsibilities include the following :
- Weapon system sustainment planning and execution, product support management, sustaining engineering, and depot maintenance planning
- Development of Life Cycle Acquisition documentation
- Analysis of key supply chain and maintenance metrics
- Developing product support strategies utilizing 12 Product Support elements
- Conduct Root Cause Analyses on various acquisition processes
- Performance Based Logistics (PBL)
- Contractor Logistics Support (CLS)
- Product Support Business Case Analyses (PS BCA)
What You Will Need :
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight (8+) plus years relevant logistics functional area work experience either commercial, public or military experience.
Total work experience must include five (5) years in DoD programs / projects.
- Experience working with Excel
- Ability to multitask and prioritize with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and brief officials at all levels
- Ability to travel
What Would Be Nice To Have :
- Master’s degree in related area
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II or above
- Clear understanding of the DoD acquisition and sustainment organizations
- Experience working with Microsoft Access, and Project
