Payroll Specialist

Vaco is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with extensive ADP experience to join a dynamic team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in using ADP payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Payroll Processing :

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for all employees using ADP.
• Ensure accurate entry of working hours, wages, bonuses, and commissions.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls as needed.
• Process payroll for new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments.

Compliance and Reporting :

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.
• Track and deduct garnishments, tax levies, and other special payroll deductions.

Data Management :

• Maintain and update payroll systems and employee records in ADP.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and generate payroll reports for management review.

Employee Support :

• Address and resolve payroll-related queries and concerns from employees.
• Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
• Educate employees on payroll-related topics and changes.

Requirements :

• Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience, with a strong focus on ADP systems.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency with ADP payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge : In-depth understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and wage and hour laws.
• Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
