About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4 shifts of 10 hours each (Evening / Night) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in imaging-related experience preferred License : Active Radiologic Technologist License required Certifications : - ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Associate's degree in Radiology or equivalent from a recognized college or university Job Description : Perform radiologic procedures with x-ray equipment upon a physician's request.
- Introduce yourself to patients and fully explain exams before starting.- Obtain appropriate patient history, including allergies and clinical information.
- Position patients using proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure.- Inform patients of any delays over 15 minutes beyond their scheduled appointment time.
- Maintain cleanliness and stocked supplies in work areas; manage emergency kits, oxygen, and suction supplies.- Practice sterile techniques and assist during fluoroscopy and special procedures.
- Utilize hospital and radiology information systems and PACS system effectively.- Stay updated with new policies, procedures, and relevant hospital information.
- Perform additional duties as needed. Skills : Proven clinical competency in radiology.- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of independent action and judgment.- Creativity and ability to handle stressful situations professionally.- Compassionate patient care and detail-oriented.
Additional Requirements : Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.- Flexibility for special requests and projects. System Experience : Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR Cancellation Policy : Up to 3 shifts every 13 weeks Trauma Level : Acute Care Setting
