Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team forthe upcomingacademic year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the integration of students with disabilities in the general education curriculum and activities.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to meet individualized goals and objectives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and solicit input for IEP development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and instructional methodologies.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations governing special education services and maintain accurate and timely documentation as required.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes and data collection.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
