Summary :
A rehabilitation nurse assists individuals with disabilityand / or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function.
Therehabilitation nurse assists patients in adapting to an alteredlifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for patientsand their family's development.
The rehabilitation nurse designsand implements treatment strategies that are based on scientificnursing theory related to self-care and that promote physical,psychosocial, and spiritual health.
The rehabilitation nurseutilizes the nursing process to assess, implement, coordinate, andevaluate patient care activities.
Collaborates with other clinicalassociates and healthcare disciplines to meet individual needsusing appropriate resources to ensure quality, safe, andcost-effective care.
Nurtures a working relationship withphysicians, nursing associates and other disciplines involved inthe care of the patient / family.
Requirements :
- Rehabilitation experience preferred, notrequired.
- Current Louisiana RNlicense
- BLS providerrequired.
- ACLS provider preferred, notrequired.
WorkSchedule : 7am-7pm
7am-7pm
