Recruiting Firm Riderflex has been hired by our client, DJJCPA , to find their Tax Manager!

Type : Full-time / W-2

Salary : Up to $150 per year depending on experience.

Signing Bonus : Eligible after a 90-day probationary period.

Performance Bonus : Eligible for shared bonus pool based on company net income.

Vacation / PTO : 3 weeks PTO and Comp time policy : 1 : 1 match for hours worked over 50 per week, capped at 80 hours of Comp time.

Reimbursement : For CPE that CPAs take to develop and grow their skills.

DJJCPA is actively seeking a Tax Manager who not only excels in traditional tax preparation but also possesses strong experience and knowledge in real estate development.

This role is ideal for a tax professional who understands the unique financial intricacies of real estate ventures, including land acquisition, property development, and investment tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file complex tax returns with a focus on real estate development entities, including LLCs, partnerships, and joint ventures.
• Apply strong analytical techniques to identify tax problems specific to real estate projects and propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and train employees on best practices in tax return preparation and work paper review, with an emphasis on real estate tax implications.
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, particularly those related to real estate transactions and developments.
• Conduct tax research, with a focus on staying current with changes in real estate tax law and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in taxation or a related field is a plus.
• CPA license required.
• 7+ years of experience in tax preparation and tax planning for personal, business, fiduciary, and real estate clients required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Manager, leading teams in tax-related projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of real estate-specific tax issues, including depreciation, 1031 exchanges, and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, especially in managing complex tax structures related to real estate.
