• Locum tenens opportunity with approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Must have an active Georgia medical license - this is required to bid on this position
• Credentialing timeframe of approximately 21 days
• Non-surgical and surgical / invasive ophthalmology skills preferred
• Experience with non-surgical / LASER procedures including cryotherapy preferred
• Proficiency with various laser procedures including anterior segment, posterior segment, and YAG laser preferred
• Surgical skills preferred for cataract removal (phacoemulsification, extracapsular extraction, intracapsular extraction with intraocular lens implant)
• Experience with glaucoma and corneal procedures preferred (lamellar keratectomy, transplant)
• Refractive surgery skills preferred (LASIK, PRK or radial keratectomy)
• Posterior segment skills preferred including vitreo-retinal procedures and intra-ocular injections
• Experience with strabismus surgery and plastic and orbital surgery preferred
• Diagnostic skills preferred : ultrasound interpretation (A and B-Scan), photo interpretation, fluorescein angiography interpretation, and optical coherence tomography interpretation
• May work across multiple affiliated facilities in the Atlanta metro area including locations in Sandy Springs, Jonesboro, and Kennesaw Compensation : Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
