Description\n\nWe are searching for an Inpatient Registered Nurse in our Operating Room someone who works well in a fast-paced this position you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing planning educating implementing and evaluating age-appropriate care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care.\n\nThink youve got what it takes\n\nJob Duties & Responsibilities\n
- Assists in the collection of patient / family data that may include biophysical psychosocial developmental cultural and environmental information per site protocol\n
- Collects and documents vital signs height / weight and reason for visit\n
- Prepares patient for examination per site protocol\n
- Assists provider as directed during treatments examinations and testing as directed by provider and within scope of site\n
- Administers medication and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol\n
- Documents administration of medication and immunizations in the medical record per site protocol\n
- Provides patient / family education as instructed by the physician or site protocol\n
- Documents such education in the medical record\n
- Coordinates referrals\n
- Triages presenting patient complaint per site protocol\n
- Verifies provider order and patient per site protocol\n
- Collects and processes specimen according to manufacturers instructions and using proper technique\n
- Demonstrates service philosophies to patients and families\n
- As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n
- Bachelors degree in nursing or one of the following : \n\nAssociate degree in nursing / related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and a signed agreement\n
- Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement\n
- Must be currently enrolled in A Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.\n
- RN License Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact\n
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required\n
