Alarm.com is seeking an ambitious and talented Hardware Engineer with a B.A., B.S., or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a similar engineering background with experience in IoT and multimedia, specifically with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and video augmented by AI products.

The Hardware Engineer position is ideal for candidates that want to work with leading-edge innovative IP that both exists but often leads to new patents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with VP Technology to implement new designs
  • System architect, build and project plans for new product evaluation
  • HW design responsibility including Schematic design, PCB layout and design verification
  • Design for high volume manufacturing
  • Work closely with RF design engineers on hardware design to optimize RF performance and minimize EMI
  • Work closely with Mechanical design engineers to meet product requirements with challenging space constraints
  • Collaborate with Firmware engineers to ensure efficient hardware verification and board bring up
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a similar technical discipline; or equivalent demonstrable experience is required
  • 4+ years of electrical HW engineering experience including schematic capture, layout design, hardware bring-up
  • Skilled in circuit design, simulation, and testing
  • Knowledgeable and forward-thinking regarding technologies and developments in low power design
  • Rigorous attention to detail with focus on robustness, scalability, and quality of products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for working with technology and excitement for creating high-quality consumer technology products
