Senior Research Investigator (Biomedical Sciences)

Job Profile Title

Job Description Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct biomedical research on the role of cytokine receptors and their signaling mediators in anti-cancer immunity, primary tumor microenvironment and cancer metastases.

Duties include planning, performing, and interpreting experiments, analyzing data, writing manuscripts, and presenting data at seminars.

Job Description

The position requires substantial experience with the methods of molecular biology, genetic and biochemical approaches, and substantial experience in cancer biology and breeding and handling transgenic animals.

In addition, the applicant should have a proven track record in biology of extracellular vesicles and their role in cancer as well as in cancer immunology including work with the myeloid derived suppressor cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

This position is contingent upon grant funding.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in biological sciences and 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least four years of post-doctoral training and at least three years' experience in cancer biology and animal models of cancer.
  • Position requires hands on experience with purification, characterization and use of extracellular vesicles, and methods of biochemical, genetic and immunological approaches to cancer research

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
