Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg position on day shifts, requiring a WI or compact license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the adult Med / Surg unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shifts scheduled from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required
  • Travel RN may be required to float to other inpatient units
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policies and standards of care
  • Document care provided according to established standards
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care as directed by physicians or hospital policy
  • Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities
  • Critical thinking and rapid escalation for patient safety and experience are expected

    • Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu
  • Recent Med / Surg nursing experience strongly preferred
