As an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) within the Materials Product Design organization you will drive the rapid advancement of materials and processes that are the building blocks of our devices.

Description

You will work with a team of cross-functional partners and external vendors to develop, test, and validate new material solutions for a wide range of Apple products.

Your ability to deep dive into material fundamentals, creatively solve challenging logistics and technical problems, and collaborate and work well with inter-disciplinary teams are key to delivering the best material solutions and products to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to independently drive projects and deliver a product
  • Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
  • Strong materials fundamentals and familiarity with glass, ceramics, films / coatings
  • 5+ years experience in project management for mechanical engineering or materials production
  • Experience collaborating with Mechanical Engineering / Design and Operations
  • Experience managing key vendor relationships and complex production requirements
  • BS Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
  • Ability to travel as this position will require domestic and international travel (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collaborate and facilitate communication across Design, Engineering, Operations teams and our OEM partners to meet very aggressive schedule, and quality goals
  • Lead multi-functional communication between project teams and external vendors
  • Drive day-to-day activities to meet overall project objectives
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management Provide project status across a wide spectrum of contributors to executive management
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision making

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
