Responsibilities
Serves in an official position of Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service Leader regardless of his / her organizational level.
Assures that the Agency achieves its mission by developing its major programs, goals, and plans. Responsible for the overall success or failure of Agency programs and initiatives, and delegates program implementation tasks to mid-level managers.
Considers Agency goals and performance strategically, by setting the Agency's overall direction via its strategic plans.
Often works with people and organizations outside his / her immediate organization to defend controversial or critical long-range NSA plans.
Provides authoritative advice, serves as NSA spokesperson, and is ultimately accountable for effective and efficient Agency operations and its compliance with policy.
Exhibits leadership competencies and behaviors for all to follow and offers mentoring opportunities to subordinates to ensure the development of a cadre of future Senior Executives.
POSITION SPECIFIC : This is a supervisory position. As the Director of Capabilities, NSAC, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of NSAC, the ADF-C, and the IC.
As a member of the NSAC Senior Leadership Team, you will assist the NSAC Director to ensure mission success and focus on talent, targets, and technology / innovation to advance the NSA Strategy.
You will serve as the Chief, RCC-C, actively supporting mission activities at tail-sites in the Central region and partnering with your RCC peers at NSA Georgia (NSAG), NSA Hawaii (NSAH), NSA Texas (NSAT), Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (AP).
This role serves as the Capabilities Directorate focal point for sustaining and developing technical capabilities and solutions to empower NSA's mission and its workforce at NSAC and across the globe.
You will work with leaders of Computer Network Operations (CNO) and Collection Capabilities, Cybersecurity Solutions, Processing & Analytic Capabilities, Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions, and Capabilities Integration & Planning.
The NSAC Capabilities Leadership Team is currently focusing on :
- People : Inspire and empower the NSAC Capabilities workforce.
- Secure the Enterprise (STE) / Secure the Network (STN) : Institutionalize STE / STN effort to ensure the long-term security and stability of IT systems.
- TechSIGINT Revitalization : Evolve corporate TechSIGINT exploitation capabilities.
- CNO Expansion : Create a CNO mission and environment at site.
- Technology Transition : Meet operational demands by decommissioning legacy functionality.
- IT Optimization : Improve overall IT services for site personnel.

Basic tour length : two years with the potential for an extension of one additional year. Upon completion of the tour, a permanent change of station (PCS) to NSA Headquarters in Fort Meade, MD, or an alternate field location, is expected.

Competencies
How You Will Be Evaluated : Each applicant must submit a resume. In addition, applications must include submission of either (1) documentation of certification as a Defense Intelligence Senior Executive (DISES);
2) documentation of certification as a Senior Executive (SES) and ECQ6; or (3) full ECQ write-up. Applicants should provide a brief narrative to support each ECQ.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Pay : Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position. Salary Range : Up to $204,000.
This position is located in Aurora, Colorado. Upon completion of the tour, a permanent change of station (PCS) to NSA Headquarters in Fort Meade, MD, or an alternate field location is expected.
