Job Description :
We're looking for an RN Oncology nurse to be part of a visionary team of professionals serving the community and provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer in a safe environment.
Our ideal candidate specializes in implementing the highest level of care and treatment to critically or chronically ill cancer patients, along with providing them support and accurate information.
An RN Oncology nurse is an essential component of the support system of patients. Hence, you will serve as their primary point of contact and provide guidance and information to the patient in a time of great uncertainty.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family from admission to discharge.
To be a successful RN Oncology nurse, you will follow a caseload of cancer patients across the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
Additionally, you must adhere to our primary goal of providing care to acute patients and exceed customer expectations while improving clinical and financial operations.
Responsibilities :
Examine and assess the full health of patients, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional status of the patients, as well as their nutrition, pain, and family involvement.
Formulate a goal-directed plan of care and establish treatment priorities based on patient needs and the availability of resources.
Assist physician with exams and procedures.
Maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
Administer chemotherapy and radiation, as well as supportive care and treatment for patient symptoms.
Monitor, evaluate, and record the treatment results.
Help patients, and their families, understand the disease, the treatment plan, and any possible side effects.
Help translate complex medical terminology to the patient and answer their questions and may also advise patients on disease prevention and personal care.
Provide emotional stability and support as patients and their families handle a very stressful and painful treatment process.

Requirements :
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in a clinical setting.
Active RN license within the State of practice.
Current certifications (variable depending on the facility).
CPR and BLS certification.
Clinical knowledge regarding specialty care services.
Knowledge of word processing, Electronic Health Records, and database software applications.
Ability to teach both clinical and non-clinical personnel regarding care and diagnostics services.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team to care for patients.
