The Department of Pediatrics - Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor.
Responsibilities :
- Co-leadership of Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, reporting to the VP of IP&C and supervising IP&C staff.
- Attend on the inpatient consultation service in Pediatric Infectious Disease, seeing patients on both the general team and the transplant infectious diseases team.
- Participate in outpatient clinic, seeing patients in the general referral pool and potentially building a personal patient panel based on clinical interest / expertise.
- Engage in research activities, including independent projects, specific projects within IP&C, or collaboration on other projects.
- All members of the division receive fractional effort for their teaching and administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications :
Qualified candidates must :
- Be eligible to practice medicine in Illinois.
- Have completed an accredited pediatric infectious diseases fellowship program and be board certified (board eligible candidates who plan to take the board exam in the subsequent year are also welcome).
- Have experience in infection prevention and epidemiologic research (preferred but not required).
