We operate North Asheville and South Asheville locations and a large catering department. We are locally and independently owned, food quality driven, and well known for our fun and eclectic work environments and memorable guest experiences. The line cook is responsible for maintaining our excellent standards in food safety, cleanliness and sanitation. A strong focus is placed on food quality and consistency. The line cook must also care for and continually strive for professional development and training.

Full-Time and Part-Time considered.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following :

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
• The employee is required to be on their feet for a large portion of the day / shift
• The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and perform repetitive motions; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and / or move heavy objects including tables and cases of food and beverage; must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds overhead
• Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention
• Must be able to work in a kitchen environment, including hot areas, hot tools, hot plates, sharp knives and tools
• Flexible schedule can vary from week to week; work required on weekends and holidays
• A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees and vendors no matter the circumstances
• An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect
• Excellent communication skills required
• Kitchen experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work during the week, on weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years of age
