American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) night shift position requiring a current CA RN license and NICU experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level 3 NICU within an acute care hospital settingPatient population includes neonates with diagnoses such as sepsis rule-out, preemies, late preterm, infants of diabetic mothers, and neonatal abstinence syndromeUnit has 14 beds and uses a 1 : 1 or 1 : 3 nurse to patient ratio12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM) with every other weekend requiredNo floating requiredUses Cerner for electronic medical records and Phillips for telemetryVentilator patients supported with RT and pharmacy 24 / 7No nurse aides; charge nurse presentUnit is secured / locked with neonatologist or pediatrician on call 24 / 7Perform NICU nursing care for a range of neonatal diagnoses excluding surgical patientsLab draws are performed on neonates, and patients may be discharged home or transferred to pediatrics from the NICUFloor-specific orientation consists of 3 shifts on unit (12 total hours of orientation)Navy blue scrubs requiredHoliday coverage may be required as part of the core rotationCandidates may not have been employed in any CommonSpirit-associated facility within the past yearNo local radius or first-time traveler restrictions specified\n \n Requirements\n
