Work Schedule :

Responsibilities :
Performs all job responsibilities of an MRI Technologist Advanced, including maintaining MR and patient safety, preparing and administering contrast, completing procedures, presenting relevant information to physicians, and documenting patient information.Assumes the leadership role in the absence of a supervisor.Leads orientation and training for new hires, students, and other medical personnel.Assists in talent acquisition interviews for recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols.Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call-offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or ARMRIT, or CNMT program, or accredited ARDMS program.3 years of MRI experience required.Performance review consistent with minimum of Good performance on last performance review required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)ARRT MR or ARMRIT certified required.Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.Act 31 Child Abuse ReportingAct 33Act 34Act 73 FBI ClearanceUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran
