NOTE : THIS IS A 12-MONTH CONTRACT-TO-HIRE!
Must - Haves :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience designing high-frequency RF / microwave transmitter, receivers and converter circuits at a circuit card or module level
- Minimum 7 years of experience supporting the manufacturing of these RF / microwave high-frequency devices
- Understanding of the trade-offs in designing devices that both send and receive signals
- Working knowledge of how modems work, digital modulation techniques (BPSK and QPSK) and EVM
- Understanding of basic digital design, including how to work with components like ADCs and FPGAs
- Able to troubleshoot RF / microwave subassemblies
Plusses :
- Experience utilizing ADS System Vue, AWR VSS for analyzing RF systems
- Ability to perform detailed analysis of RF circuits
- Familiarity with transmitter and receiver architecture design
- Experience with 3D electromagnetic analysis tools like HFSS
- Knowledge of DVB-S2 waveform
- Strong background in documenting hardware design processes
- Experience in designing K band frequencies
- Experience in DOD
Day to Day :
A client in the defense industry is looking for someone with a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically in designing and producing high-frequency communication devices.
They will be responsible for designing high frequency RF / microwave transmitter, receivers and converter circuits and will test their own designs.
They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of RF / microwave product development - system and module design, schematic capture, circuit design, derating and Worst-Case Analysis.
Lastly, they will be presenting design and ideas and must comply with industry standards.
