Our early childhood program, located in Winooski is hiring full-time teaching assistants for our infant and toddler rooms.

• Great Pay : Competitive pay between $17.10-$19.00 / hour dependent on qualifications

What You'll Do :

• Collaborate : Work with teachers to implement quality early childhood programs
• Plan & Lead : Assist in lesson planning and lead activities
• Ensure Safety : Supervise activities to keep children safe
• Organize : Help maintain a neat and organized classroom
• Support : Assist in swim lessons, gym lessons, and field trips
• Communicate : Share relevant information with teachers and the director, and address child concerns appropriately
• Engage Families : Maintain professional communication with parents and guardians
• Confidentiality : Keep all information confidential
• Compliance : Help maintain state Child Care Licensing requirements

Requirements :

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must have one (1) year of experience working with children birth-to grade three (3)
• Must have a high school diploma or have completed a GED and meet at least one (1) of the following qualifications :
• Completion of Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate
• A completion of a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or a three (3) credit college course for school age care and education
• At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate
• At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate)
• At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education
• Ability to pass federal background and state fingerprint checks.
